LOCATION: Bahamas
STORY: “This image could easily have been taken anywhere in the world you can visualize, but it was actually shot within 50 meters of where I created “Simplicity”. I had rented a small boat from a local, and was just island hopping, scouting for that something special. This beach called out to me – white sand, uninhabited, quiet, perfect. I let the barrels of the waves crash over my head as I lay in the shallow water facing the beach. I chose a very fast shutter speed to immortalize the power of even a small wave like this – I just love the way the sand boils as it rolls over! Through the barrel, you can see the beach, the vegetation on land, and the blue sky – a perfect window of our world from a fish’s perspective!” –Gug
